- We do not collect or store your banking login credentials
If you choose not to connect your financial accounts, Apricot may generate insights based on mock financial data modeled from users with similar profiles. These insights are for informational purposes only and may not accurately reflect your personal financial situation.
C. Booking & Claim Processing Data
- If you book a financial, wellness, or benefits-related service through Apricot, we may collect the information required to process the booking, including:
- Your selected service, provider, and appointment details
- Necessary details for payment processing
- Any required insurance or benefit eligibility details for claims submission
D. Third-Party Data (If Applicable)
- Referral programs: If you participate in a referral or rewards program, we may collect information necessary to issue benefits, rewards, or incentives.
- Vendor partnerships and discounts: If you access exclusive employee discounts through Apricot, we may collect anonymized engagement data to improve offerings.
- External financial or insurance partners: If you opt in to explore financial planning tools, mortgages, or insurance policies through Apricot, we may share limited data necessary to facilitate that process.
2. How We Use Your Data

- Provide personalized benefits insights, helping employees maximize claims, savings, and employer-sponsored programs.
- Match financial transactions to benefits eligibility, ensuring users do not miss reimbursements or savings opportunities.
- Enable booking services with third-party providers and process claims through insurers or benefits administrators.
- Offer data-driven recommendations to help optimize employer-provided benefits.
- Facilitate rewards, referrals, and third-party partnerships, but only if the user opts in to participate in these programs.
We do not use your data for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes.
3. Sharing Data with Third Parties
Apricot may share limited user data with third-party providers, but only when necessary for:
- Processing benefit claims: When you submit a claim through Apricot, we may share required details with your insurer or benefits administrator to facilitate processing.
- Booking services through Apricot: If you book an appointment with a financial, wellness, or insurance provider through Apricot, we may share relevant details with the service provider to confirm and facilitate the appointment.
- Enabling exclusive discounts or benefits: If you opt in to use an employee discount, we may share anonymized engagement data with the vendor for validation purposes.
We do not sell or share financial data with advertisers, and all third-party integrations require explicit user consent before any information is shared.
4. How We Protect Your Data
We use industry-leading security measures to protect your data, including:
- End-to-End Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard security protocols.
- Canadian Data Storage: All data is securely stored on servers within Canada, ensuring compliance with PIPEDA and SOC 2 standards.
- Access Controls: We follow the principle of minimal data access, meaning only authorized personnel can access necessary data to provide our services.
- No Permanent Financial Storage: We do not store banking credentials or sensitive account details.
Employers do not have access to employees’ personal financial data. They receive only aggregated trends, such as benefits engagement rates, but never individual usage details.
5. Your Choices and Control
You have full control over your data within Apricot. You can:
- Connect or disconnect your financial accounts at any time.
- Adjust preferences on which benefits insights you receive.
- Request data deletion if you choose to stop using Apricot.

6. Compliance with Canadian Privacy Laws
Apricot follows all applicable privacy laws, including:

- SOC 2 Compliance & Data Encryption Standards
